Practice Closure Notice – Prescription Guidance

Our practice is currently closed. Please follow the instructions below for handling prescription requests:

Repeat Prescriptions

  • Your regular pharmacy can provide one month of your usual long-term medication.
  • Note: This applies only to regular, long-term prescriptions.

Hospital Prescriptions

  • Your regular pharmacy can supply one month of medication from a hospital prescription.
  • Important: You must bring the hospital prescription to your pharmacy on the same or next day.

Urgent Non-Routine Prescriptions (e.g., Pain Relief)

  • This is a medical issue.
  • Action: Contact the covering GP for assistance.

1. Emergencies (day or night).
Phone 999 or 112 or attend the Emergency
Department in Galway University Hospital.
2. Routine issues.Wait until Dr Sloane’s surgery re-opens at
9 AM on Monday 31 March.
3. Urgent non-emergency issues.Call the covering GP practice who will look
after your needs (see list below).
4. Out of hours urgent issues.From 6 PM onwards, telephone WestDoc
on 0818 360000.
